DEPUTY GOVERNOR’S 5K CHALLENGE 2025 – GRAND CAYMAN

Registration
- Pay online – Use a debit or credit card to pay online now.
- Register in person at the Packet Pickup. Please have EXACT CASH.
- Register on race day. Please have EXACT CASH.
- Civil Servants have the option to pay by salary deduction. Must provide Name and Government employee number.

- * Persons who register on race day will not be entered into the timed race and will not be eligible for age category awards and fastest male and female Civil Servant trophies.
Packet Pick-Up & In Person Registration
- Collect race shirts and race bib numbers on Thursday 27 March 2025 & Friday 28 March 2025
- Location: Government Administration Building, 133 Elgin Avenue, George Town, Main lobby
- Time: 9:00am – 6:00pm
Start Time and Course Information
- Start time is 6:30am on Sunday 30 March 2025 at the Government Administration Building,
133 Elgin Avenue, George Town. - The race route is from the Government Administration Building on Elgin Avenue → to Huldah Ave → to Smith Road → to Walkers Road → to Melmac Avenue → to South Church Street → to Seafarer’s Way → to Fort Street → to Edward Street → to Elgin Avenue and return to the Government Administration Building.
- Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. Bikes and dogs are not allowed.
Course Map
Water
- Water stops will be along the route.
- Participants are encouraged to BYOB (bring your own water bottle) to reduce the use of single use plastics.
Timing and Results
- This is a timed race.
- *Persons who register on race day will not be entered into the timed race and will not be eligible for age category awards and fastest male and female Civil Servant trophies.
- Race bibs have an embedded timing chip and must be worn on the front of your shirt.
- Race results are published by Race Caribbean at https://racecaribbean.net/
Awards
- The prize/raffle presentation takes place after the race. Must be present to win.
- Awards for top 3 male and female in the following age categories; ages 5 and under, 6-10, 11-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
- Trophy for the Fastest male and female Civil Servant
- Trophy for the Private Sector firm with the most registrations
- Trophy for the Civil Service Dept with the most registrations
- Trophy for the SAGC with the most registrations
- Trophy for the School with the most registrations
- Trophy for the Civil Service Dept with the highest percentage of participants
Parking
Parking is available in the lot across from the Government Administration Building, enter from Claude Hill Road.

I, the participant, or legal guardian if the participant is under 18, assume all risks associated with running/walking this event. I waive and release the Cayman Islands Government and all sponsors from all claims or liabilities of any kind.
