Red Sail Sports are excited to introduce the newest event in the Cayman Race Calendar.

The Red Sail Sports Beach Relay is a 6 person race where each racer completes a one way shuttle between the Westin and the Kimpton (or vice versa) carrying their team timing baton. At the end of their leg the racer hands over the baton to the next member of their team for the return leg.

Each one way shuttle leg is 0.9 mile in distance. 3 racers start at the Westin on beach in front of Dive Shop, 3 at the Kimpton on beach in front of Dive Shop. The race will be timed for bragging rights after the event.

So, get out of work on a beautiful Friday evening, enjoy some healthy competition and fun times at the beach.

When: Friday 23^rd June at 6pm
Race Start: At the Westin. Team Checkin/baton pickup from 5.30pm at the Westin.
Race Briefing: 5.50pm in front of the Westin and Kimpton Red Sail Sports Dive Shops.

Cost: $250 per team. U18/school/youth teams are free.
Each team is guaranteed a brilliant Red Sail Sports prize. Each adult team receives a complimentary bucket of beer courtesy of the Westin Hotel and Happy Hour prices at the bar during prize giving and after. Prize giving will commence at the conclusion of racing at the Westin hotel.

Entries close at 12pm on Thursday 22^nd June. Team numbers need to be collected from the Red Sail Sports Westin Dive Shop between 12 – 5.30pm on Thursday 22nd and 8.30am – 12pm on Friday 23rd. All racers MUST have the team number clearly displayed on the FRONT of their person. Maximum number of Teams is 50.

Every penny of the entry fee goes toward our nominated charities. Red Sail Sports will cover 100% of organizational/administrative costs.

WAIVER
Waiver In consideration for allowing me to participate in the Red Sail Sports Beach Relay 2023, I hereby release and discharge the organizers (Red Sail Sports), its directors, officers, members, agents, sponsors, race directors, race producers, volunteers, and their representatives and agents for bodily injury or property damage or death that arises out of or during the event to the full extent permitted by law. This Release and Indemnity Agreement applies regardless of the negligence, or lack thereof, of the persons or entities mentioned above. I assume the risk of competing in the event to include the risk of highway and road use to include motor vehicle traffic. I assume the risk of running, including but not limited to: falls, collisions with motor vehicles, and contact with other participants, the effects of weather including heat, cold, and/or humidity, road conditions, and any hazard that may be posed by spectators or volunteers. I acknowledge that the roads are open to motor vehicle traffic during the event. I understand that participation may result in permanent disability or death, and I assume those risks. I agree to be responsible for my own safety and well being during the event. I AGREE THAT I WILL NOT SUE any of the persons or entities mentioned above for any bodily injury or property damage that I may sustain because of par‐ ticipation in the event, and that my heirs, successors and estate have no claim in the event of my death during the event. I AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the persons or entities mentioned above for damages that they might sustain that arises from bodily injury, property damage, attorney’s fees and litigation expenses caused, directly or indirectly, by my participation in the event. I hereby assume the known and unknown risks of participating in the Red Sail Sports Beach Relay. I acknowledge that a race such as this is a test of a person’s physical and mental ability and carries with it the potential for permanent injury, death, and property loss. I certify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for participating in this event. I will assume the responsibility for any damage to or loss of personal property while taking part in this event.
