DEPUTY GOVERNOR’S 5K CHALLENGE 2024 – GRAND CAYMAN

Supporting Our Future Generations! The 10-year anniversary of the DG5K Challenge is in support of the Addison Kelly Memorial Scholarship, the Boyz 2 Men programme and the NCVO.
Registration
Registration fee includes a 10-year anniversary commemorative t-shirt or tank top on a first come basis and race bib number. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable and name changes are not allowed.

Payment Options
1. Pay online – Use a debit or credit card to pay online now.
2. Pay at Packet Pick-up – Register online and pay in person on 25 & 26 April, with exact cash.
3. Civil Service Payroll Deduction – For core Civil Servants only. Must provide name of Civil Servant and Government employee number.

Packet Pick-Up
Pick-up for shirts and race bibs will take place on Thursday 25 April and Friday 26 April from 9:00am to 5:30pm at the Government Administration Building, main lobby, at 133 Elgin Avenue.
Timing and Results
This is a timed event. Race bibs have an embedded timing chip and must be worn on the front of your shirt. Race results are published by Race Caribbean at https://racecaribbean.net/ .

- Awards for top 3 male and female in the following age categories; ages 5 and under, 6-10,
11-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
- Trophy for the Fastest male and female Civil Servant
- Trophy for the Private Sector firm with the most registrations
- Trophy for the Civil Service Dept with the most registrations
- Trophy for the SAGC with the most registrations
- Trophy for the School with the most registrations
- Trophy for the Civil Service Dept with the highest percentage of participants
Course Information
Course starts and ends at the Government Administration Building at 133 Elgin Avenue in George Town.
From Government Administration Building on Elgin Avenue → Huldah Avenue → Smith Road → Walkers Road → Melmac Ave → South Church Street → Seafarer’s Way → Fort Street → Albert Panton Street → Cardinal Avenue → Main Street → Shedden Road → onto Louis Llewyn Way Roundabout → to Government Administration Building.
Strollers are welcome. Bikes and dogs are not allowed.
Course Map
Water
Water stops will be along the route. Participants are encouraged to BYOB (bring your own water bottle) to reduce the use of single use plastics.
Prizes
Raffle prize draw takes place after the race. Must be present to win.
Parking
Parking is available in the lot across from the Government Administration Building, enter from Claude Hill Road.
