SUMMARY:Stroke & Stride - 2023
DESCRIPTION:The Cayman Islands Triathlon Association’s annual Ogier Stroke & Stride is back. Presented by Ogier\, the Stroke & Stride 3-series race will take place Wednesday 13th\, 20th and 27th of September\, with a 5.30pm start at Sunset House. \nPopular amongst swimmers and runners of all levels\, the Stroke & Stride is designed to encourage athletes of all abilities to take part. The event starts with a sunset\, sea swim – the distance of which increases each week from 400 to 600 to 800 meters – followed by a 2 mile run through towards South Sound finishing at Sunset House. Individuals or teams have the option to register for one\, two or all three races\, so there are many ways to join in the fun. \nPARTICIPANTS HAVE TO ARRIVE BY 4.45PM TO CHECK IN AS CHECK-IN WILL CLOSE PROMPTLY AT 5.15PM. \n \nTrevor Murphy\, President of the Cayman Islands Triathlon Association says\, “We are excited once again to present our annual Stroke & Stride series. It’s one of the most popular sporting events in Cayman and we encourage all swimmers and runners to grab their suits and running shoes and take part.” Entry fees for individuals are $15 per race or $35 for all 3. Entry fees for teams are $25 per race or $60 for the series. Participants must be members of the Cayman Islands Triathlon Association. Membership costs $10 annually and is available at registration. Minimum age on race day is 13 years. Under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
