SUMMARY:Ogier Stroke N Stride - 2021
DESCRIPTION:The Cayman Islands Triathlon Association’s annual Ogier Stroke & Stride is back. Presented by Ogier\, the Stroke & Stride 3-series race will take place Wednesday May 12th\, 19th and 26th\, with a 5.30pm start at Sunset House. \nPopular amongst swimmers and runners of all levels\, the Stroke & Stride is designed to encourage athletes of all abilities to take part. The event starts with a sunset\, sea swim – the distance of which increases each week from 400 to 600 to 800 meters – followed by a 2 mile run through towards South Sound finishing at Sunset House. Individuals or teams have the option to register for one\, two or all three races\, so there are many ways to join in the fun. \nPARTICIPANTS HAVE TO ARRIVE BY 4.45PM TO CHECK IN AS CHECK-IN WILL CLOSE PROMPTLY AT 5.15PM. \n\nRace 1 – May 12th – 400m swim\, 2 mile run – 5:30pm start\nRace 2 – May 19th – 600m swim\, 2 mile run – 5:30pm start\nRace 3 – May 26th – 800m swim\, 2 mile run – 5:30pm start\n\nJohann Prinsloo\, Vice-President of the Cayman Islands Triathlon Association and Race Director says\, “We are excited once again to present our annual Stroke & Stride. The Stroke & Stride is one of the most popular sporting events in Cayman. We encourage all swimmers and runners to grab their suits and running shoes and take part.” Entry fees for individuals are $15 per race or $35 for all 3. Entry fees for teams are $25 per race or $60 for the series. Participants must be members of the Cayman Islands Triathlon Association. Membership costs $10 annually and is available at registration. Minimum age on race day is 13 years. Under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Commemorative T-shirts are available for the first 180 people who register so register now.
