Helki Weber successfully defends OTBT ladies title (she had caught and ran the last two legs with her partner Jens, who was braving the heat probably in the attempt to shake off the cold he has had for the last few days). Katrina McDermot and Kerri Kanuga came over the line to share second/third spot. As they are friends, I will let them decide who was second and who was third 🙂 A new winner in the male’s race with David Lim almost 10 minutes ahead of Samuel Young in second, with Scott Ruby in third. Andrew Keast who won the event in 2013 came in a very creditable 4th place despite “not having trained much this year”. Well done to all who ran. As tough as it was for those who placed, I can tell you that the bravest are those at the rear who continue to push on as the temperature increases with every mile. Massive well done to Sally Moseley who battled it out for over 7 hours 35 minutes having got lost a couple of times with blistered feet but still made it to the finish line.
